The Measure to Support the Return of Emigrants to Portugal (“Measure”) is now effective and is part of the Return Program that aims at encouraging the return of Portuguese who have emigrated over the last years.

This Measure intends to promote the return and fixation of emigrants in Portugal and consists in granting financial support to emigrants or Portuguese descendants who initiate their professional activity in Mainland Portugal. In addition, it co-pays expenses concerning the trip to Portugal (incurred by immigrants and their household members), transportation of goods to Portugal and recognition of academic or professional qualifications of the recipients.
